Enva donate £1,000 to Fire Fighters Charity following recent incident

A recent vehicle fire has led to a donation of £1,000 to the Fire Fighters Charity, as a thank you to Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.

On Friday 22 September crews from London Road Fire Station were called to a bin lorry fire on Clarendon Street, Nottingham, just after 7am. The bin lorry had caught fire caused by a battery inside the lorry.

Enva Operations Director, Wayne Cornell, paid thanks to attending crews and the good work of the fire service. Wayne said, “Thank you to the crews that attended this recent incident. They responded quickly and put the fire out limiting damage to the vehicle. We are very grateful for this.

“We often have the crews training at our site in Colwick, and we are always keen to help the fire service as much as we can, which is why we have decided to donate this money to The Fire Fighters Charity. This donation is a token of our appreciation of the great work they continue to do for us and the rest of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.”

Area Manager, Matt Reavill, paid thanks to Enva following their donation. He said, “We would like to thank both Wayne and Enva for their donation. Any donation really helps the charity, and it will help them with the incredible work they do to help fire service staff and support their families.”

Arron Enever, The Fire Fighters Charity Service Coordinator, who received the cheque on behalf of the charity, said, “This generous donation will help the charity support firefighters and their families in their recovery and well-being, following illness or injury. Thank you on behalf of all to Wayne and Enva.”
